For the second year in a row the Chicago Bears have the number 1 draft pick in the NFL Draft. What the Bears will do with the pick is the big question. Will they trade it away for the second year in a row? Or will they take Caleb Williams or Marvin Harrison?
How did they get here?
The Bears in the 2022-23 season had a record of 3-14, which earned the team the number one pick. The Bears would then go on and trade the pick to the Carolina Panthers in return for star receiver DJ Moore and multiple future draft picks as well. This season was a lot better for them but because of the Panthers 2-15 record they will receive the number one pick again.
Who does it fall on?
There is one guy that holds the key to the Chicago Bears future, and that is 2nd year General Manger Ryan Poles. He has been given the task to turn this franchise around in the right directions. Since taking over Poles has given bears fans some hope with making smart moves to help the team. This past season Poles traded for star defensive end Montrez Sweat, and right away helped the team. Ultimately, it's up to Poles to make things right. Can he make a wrong decision?
