Teams to watch in the NFL draft

As there is plenty of excitement for the first round of the draft, the real draft starts round second through seven. There are plenty of team that can make a lot of noise in the second round the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Dallas Cowboys

Honestly the readiest team to make a Super Bowl push, but with no moves in free agency, I expect Jerry Jones to have a huge draft. Cowboys should be looking to solidify the running back position, with the departure of Tony pollard.  Dallas also may be looking to get Dak Prescott another weapon, as they struggled with all the eyes being on Ceedee Lamb. Cowboys could have a very strong draft but it's up to Jerry Jones to be aggressive and make it happen.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are defiantly in rebuild mode with three key departures of Justin Simmions, Russel Wilison, and Jerry Judey. All -played key roles in the team's success. The team is in good hands with head coach Sean Payton, definitely looking to draft a quarterback with their first pick and add o- line and weapons behind him. Denver is looking too right the ship and leave the Russel Wilson era behind them, and it stars next Thursday.

New England Patriots

Patriots one of the main focuses of this year draft, has a top 5 pick and is looking to draft a top pick after trading away Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Patriots truly starting form ground releasing Bill Belichick new head coach Jerad Mayo is entrusted to bring a new culture and turn these things around in New England. With the Patriots having a top 5 pick and taking a top quarterback, I believe they can make a lot of noise.

Josh Allen To The Bears ?

The Chicago Bears should trade their number pick to the Bufalo Bills for star studded quarterback Josh Allen.  The Bears would send their first pick of this year draft and running back Khailil Herbert to the bills in exchange for Josh Allen and a future 6th round pick. If this trade was to happen it would definitely be a draft day trade, and the Bears could shock the world.

How did we get here?

The Bears traded away their former starting quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh steelers for a 2025 sixth round draft pick, leaving 2nd string quarterback Tyson Bagent and Veteran Brett Rypien on the roster. With the obvious move, the Bears would take Caleb Willimas, but they don't have to be sold on him just yet. Other option looms for the Bears, The Buffalo Billis Traded Away All-Pro receiver Stefon Diggs, sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a second in the 2025 draft.

So, it can be concluded that the Bills are in rebuild mode with key departures on the defensive side as well. Josh Allen is no scrub; this guy can ball. Allen played college ball at Wyoming and was drafted by the Bills with seventh pick in the first round, in 2018. since then, Allen has thrown for 20,000 yards and 167 touchdowns. Arguably coming of his best season yet scoring the most touchdowns in the league.

   Immediate Impact

There is no doubt that Allen can come in and make a positive impact on the Bears. Allen is a proven quarterback in this league and has shown what he can do with his arm and legs. This is a Viable option for the Bears if they don't want to go through growing pains with Caleb WIlliams. The Bears now have a roster that can do a lot of damage in the NFC, it's going to be interesting to see what Ryan Poles does.
