Cody Whitehair has played his last game with the Chicago Bears

Where is he? Cody Whitehair a former pro bowler is a guard/ center for the Chicago Bears. He was drafted back in 2016 by the team and got right to work.  The Bears moved to center where he would have his early success.

Early Opportunities

According to Wikipedia, following a gruesome season ending injury to 2015 draft pick to Horniss Grasu .Whitehair was moved into the starting spot in preseason. Then later was moved to center after the team acquired veteran guard Josh sittion.  Whitehair would go on and start all 16 games for the bears and earned a spot on PWFA All-Rookie Team.

Now

Whitehair hasn't seen the field in three weeks breaking his 117-game starting streak. He was replaced by 2021 second draft pick Tevin Jenkins. Cody earned himself a spot on the bench with the inconstant play at guard and center. Whitehair contract is not up until 2025 with 14 million due his way this year, The bears may look to move him, but in all he always be loved as a Chicago Bear.

Is Mike Evans an hall of famer ?

He deserves a spot in, Mike Evans played college football at Texas A&M University where he his production began. He played 2 seasons there. both averaging 1,000 yards. Also averaging more than 15 yards an catch and with a total of 17 touchdowns, Mike Evans was a stud.

NFL

His production did not fall of his first season. Evans was drafted with the 7th pick int the first round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Evans went to work right way with another 1,00-yard season and 12 touchdowns and doesn't look back after that.

The carousel of quarterbacks

What makes this Mike Evans case more intriguing is that he has not had a consistent quarterback. Mike Evans has had more the 6 different quarterbacks throwing to him throughout his career. The most notable one Tom Brady at the butt end of his career, but he also had a young Jameis Winston and  Mike Glennon throwing to him.

Conclusion

No doubt this guy is a Hall Of Famer. He is second behind Jerry Rice for the most consecutive 1,000-yard season and I don't see him slowing down. I do see Mike Evans moving to a super bowl contending team eventually, but the NFL has to get this guy in.
